Yo - take it from a girl from the east coast. Pancheros burritos beats Chipotle by a mile. The key?  They MIX YOUR INGREDIENTS together prior to wrapping it up in that tortilla. This is what makes Pancheros better than other fast casual chains. Also I dig their hot sauces. The spiciest one is a very smoky chipotle flavor.

    So here's the thing:

In my eyes, giving this place 3-stars is too much, but giving them 2-stars is not enough.

I rounded down because I just left and am a bit unsatisfied.

I would compare this place to the other burrito chain giants that I know, Chipotle and Qdoba.

In terms of taste, I'd say it's on par with Chipotle, but not as good as Qdoba.

Where I'm a little annoyed is the size portions.

The first time I ate here, I got a bowl. I'm a large man who works out a lot. Getting a bowl for lunch was incredibly disappointing considering how small it was. I could have eaten 3.

No matter. I'm going to start getting the burrito, extra meat.

I've gone 4 times since the bowl incident. The second time, I got a super small burrito. It confused me. I waved it off as some sort of mistake.

However, as I sit here still hungry after eating another super skinny burrito, I'm a bit upset.

At least Chipotle and Qdoba consistently give you fat burritos, as it should be.

If I'm in a burrito mood, I think next time I'll make the trek to State Street for Chipotle.

I come here pretty often, but their service just varies too much. Sometimes it's more than enough (in which case I don't complain about) but usually it's not even close to enough. It is cheaper than chipotle and tastes better in my opinion, but this location is jus ehh at its best. Two scoops of carnitas are basically two "half" scoops. Like, come on give me two full scoops

I'd probably avoid this restaurant if I were you!
Ordered a quesadilla before my exam, and I was more than disappointed. Quesadilla comes with ONLY cheese and one meat. And saying meat is a stretch- they take a spoon and put one scoop onto the quesadilla. I counted and there were a total of 8 pieces of chicken on the entire quesadilla. At about $6, I ate the whole thing in less than one minute. Guacamole and queso are an upcharge. Almost asked for a refund when I saw that it was only cheese with 8 pieces of chicken and no other toppings. Could of made it better myself for less than a dollar. The only reason I can see to come here is perhaps for a burrito. Compared to the quesadilla I get from Qdoba, this weighted about 20% of the portion from Qdoba.
Although convenient, will definitely not return based on how much of a rip off it is in terms of portion. Seems weird that they're not ashamed to serve a quesadilla with 8 cuts of chicken. Basically paid for cheese and bread unfortunately.

I may be biased but chipotle and q-doba can't compete with Pancheros in Ann Arbor! Student discounts and burritos filled to the brim make this the best late night snack, study break spot, or that go to place after you've had too much to drink. Staff here are great and will hook your meal up, it's ready fast and conveniently right down town!
